Fashion Export Award

Style Magazine has been Canada’s leading fashion and apparel industry portal for over 100-years and they have fostered the Fashion Export Awards to recognize Canada’s finest in the fashion and apparel industry. After being considered alongside the best in the business, Megan Waterman designer of SKOOKUMbrand® Yukon Anoraks respectfully accepted the award for Industry Innovation.

This year’s awards were presented with Apparel BC during BC Fashion week. The exclusive event was held at the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park, and many nominees were in attendance. Past winners in other categories include Canadian fashion moguls David Dixon, Arthur Mendonça, and Hilary Radley, as well as Hemptown Clothing, Lululemon, Ginch Gonch and EK’O By Dene Fur Clouds.

Northern Garments Inc. (NGI) is a newly formed company founded on principles of design integrity, quality workmanship, and, sustainable and respectful resource use. Within these parameters, they design and make high quality clothing and accessories – from the north, for the north.
